Internal Management Reporting & Control -Prepare Management Accounts on a Monthly basis, by consolidating the Trial Balance and preparing all relevant notes to the Group Finance team. -Deliver the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting within the business and to the European Planning team to the agreed timetable, working closely with budget holders and providing appropriate challenge to departmental heads. -To support the Budget holders by providing monthly analysis on expenses to both the European Finance Team and European management team investigating and commenting on significant variances and trends. Then integrating these in the budgeting and forecasting, quarterly financial consolidation packs and general financial analysis. -Overall Control of Balance Sheet accounts reconciliations for Europe. External Financial Reporting -Support the European financial controller in the preparation of the entity Statutory accounts, liaising with Group Finance team. -Prepare the annual regulatory reports, including the Regulatory Mediation Activity returns to the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) -Provide audit assistance and management with support from European colleagues, to third parties reviewing these returns and declarations -Assist local branch tax and regulatory reporting, as required Accounting and Team Support (10% of the time) -Accounting tasks using including end -of -month, recharges and bank reconciliations. -Recommend and implement methods and procedures to improve accounting processes for Europe. -Provide functional leadership and coaching on financial issues to the European Finance team -Create and/or review processes and internal documentation; -Multinational Company - Multinational Company -A qualified accountant, with IFRS experience, an accounting background and degree experience. -Fluent in English; Other European languages - Dutch, French, German, Spanish or Portuguese would be welcome; -Strong and confident communication skills; -Excellent accuracy and attention to detail and Quality to produce high quality output even when dealing with high volume and under time pressure; -You would need to be able to explain your findings in a simple way that does not mislead or confuse; -Ability to organise and prioritise and plan workload to meet deadlines; -Demonstrating personal integrity; doing what they say they'll do when they said they'd do it; -Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships in and outside Finance team and manage different level of stakeholders; -Critical thinking and a can do attitude; -Results driven, with the energy and determination to succeed in a very fast paced environment where the pace and quality of response is critical to success; -Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work as a member of various teams. -Be able to work in a matrix environment which is part of a relatively small team. This may involve some flexing of working hours to accommodate business needs -Able to work across geographical lines on a daily basis, both from a stakeholder and team perspective -Be extremely literate in Microsoft Excel and other standard Office tools
