    Project Engineer Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to oversee and manage various engineering projects in the oil & gas sector. The successful candidate will be based in Lisbon and work closely with teams across different locations to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in accordance with quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Project Oversight: Manage project execution from inception to completion, aligning with project goals and timelines.
    • Team Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless project delivery.
    • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Budget and Resource Management: Monitor project budgets, resources, and schedules, ensuring timely completion.
    • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including status reports, risk assessments, and post-project evaluations.
    • Travel and Site Visits: Willingness to travel to project sites as required to support project activities.
    • Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams.

    Main Requirements:

    • Educational Background: A degree in engineering, preferably mechanical, electrical, chemical, or related discipline.
    • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in project management or process engineering with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
    • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Communication: Excellent communication skills, conveying technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is mandatory, French language skills a plus.
    • International Career Orientation: Willingness to travel and adapt to international assignments.
    • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, proactively addressing challenges.
    • Interpersonal Skills: Proactive and able to work independently, applying structured systematic approaches.

    Additional Skills:

    • Good understanding of other relevant engineering disciplines.
    • Familiarity with engineering & project management systems.
    • Familiarity with shipyard and fabrication yard activities.
    • Familiarity with Commissioning and Offshore operations.
    • Basic knowledge of project management.
    • Fluent in English (oral and written).
