Supply Chain & Sourcing Leader

This is a crucial role in ensuring a streamlined, cost-effective, and resilient supply chain and sourcing function to support the organization's strategic goals and long-term success.

About the Role:

The Supply Chain & Sourcing Leader will be instrumental in fostering innovation, improving operational agility, and driving continuous business improvements to maintain a competitive edge in the industry.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Oversee end-to-end supply chain processes, including production planning, purchasing, customer service, warehouse and inventory management.
2. Ensure effective Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) to support on-time delivery and operational efficiency.
3. Increase inventory turnover while reducing excess & obsolete stock and mitigating supply risks.
4. Establish demand planning accuracy to enable proactive inventory and production scheduling, improve site S&OP process.
5. Drive process improvements, implement strategies, and establish KPIs to monitor and reduce E&O.
6. Analyze inventory data, identify trends, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively address potential obsolescence risks and action plans.
7. Establish and maintain strong planning & purchasing processes to ensure flawless material supply.
8. Identify potential supply chain disruptions and implement risk mitigation strategies.
9. Lead logistics and warehousing operations to ensure seamless material movement and finished goods distribution.
10. Ensure cost-effective and sustainable transportation and logistics strategies.
11. Maintain strong coordination with internal teams and external partners to enhance supply chain resilience.
12. Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment on supply chain strategies.
13. Leverage data analytics and digital tools to enhance forecasting, demand planning, and decision-making.

Sourcing & Procurement Management:

1. Develop and execute robust sourcing strategies across key categories (Direct Material, Indirect Materials & Services, and Capitals) to optimize cost and drive business growth.
2. Implement and lead effective procurement processes, supporting RFI/RFQ/RFP execution, contract negotiations, and vendor performance management.
3. Lead direct and indirect material sourcing activities, including services, while guiding teams to secure the best purchase prices.
4. Develop and drive supply base localization, VMI (Vendor managed inventory), and other initiatives to enhance efficiency.
5. Oversee supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance management to build long-term, value-driven partnerships.
6. Develop competitive and cost-effective procurement strategies by working with stakeholders and suppliers.
7. Drive significant cost reductions in Total Cost of Ownership while maintaining / improving product quality and supplier service levels.
8. Collaborate with R&D and Program Management teams on New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from concept to launch.
9. Execute agility in managing frequent RFQs with suppliers on short notice and tight deadlines, ensuring fast and effective supplier responses.
10. Develop & execute supply network optimization, supplier rationalization.
11. Partner closely with R&D/Engineering, Revenue, PM, Finance, and Operations to align sourcing strategies with business objectives and drive seamless execution.
12. Implement ESG-aligned procurement strategies, ensuring environmental and social responsibility.
13. Lead contract negotiations, ensure adherence to regulatory and company policies, and mitigate risks through robust governance frameworks.

Leadership & Performance Management:

1. Provide strong leadership to supply chain and sourcing teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
2. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance operational efficiency.
3. Develop and mentor talent within the organization, ensuring skill development and succession planning.
4. Promote a culture of continuous improvement through Lean methodologies and process innovation.
5. Drive cross-functional collaboration to streamline processes and enhance agility in responding to market dynamics.
6. Implement change management initiatives to support organizational growth and transformation.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Minimum 15 years of working experience in end-to-end Supply Chain Management role, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
2. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Sourcing, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
3. Expertise in supplier price negotiations, material localization and VMI projects and supplier relationship management.
4. Proven experience in driving cost-saving initiatives and optimizing operational efficiency.
5. Solid experience in inventory management, planning, MRP, and material cost reductions in fast-paced manufacturing environments (FMCG experience is a must).
6. Deep knowledge of ERP processes and systems for Materials Planning and Production Planning, in multiple models notably 'Build to Stock', 'Make to Order', and 'owned products'.
7. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
8. Proficiency in written and oral English.
9. Excellent leadership and communication skills.

11. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
12. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a very dynamic business environment.
