Specific Requirements:

Essential skills:
Experience in training rodents in operant tasks

  • Experience in stereotaxic surgeries for virus injections and optical fiber implantation.
  • Experience in perfusion and collection of mice brains
  • License from the DGAV to do experimental procedures in laboratory animals
Desirable skills that will also be considered


  • Experience in doing abdominal surgeries in mice for chronic implantation of catheters in the stomach
  • Experience in brain slicing, immunofluorescence labeling, slide mounting and microscope imaging.
Required Languages

Fluency in scientific English, both in written and oral expression

Remuneration


The monthly remuneration to be attributed starts at a base gross salary of 1.158 Euros, which may be increased with other funds, according to experience and performance.

Monthly meal allowance is set at 100 euros, which may be increased with other funds, according to experience and performance.

Maximum allowable duration


The employment contract is with an unknown term, and is expected to start within the 30 days after this call closing date.

Notwithstanding, the parties may, at any time, wish to celebrate a permanent employment contract.

The contract of employment resulting from this vacancy will expire due to the supervening, absolute and definitive impossibility of being given continuity if its respective funding is terminated without prejudice to the communication of its termination to the worker, in accordance with the provisions of article 345 of the Labor Code.
