Ferring Global IT is a newly re-built organization with an already established well functioning team with the overall responsibility of all IT services, including, Manufacturing, Laboratory, Security, Applications & Infrastructure.

The Global IT team is distributed around the world but with major hubs in Switzerland, Denmark & Portugal.

Your role as a Major Incident Manager

Your day at Ferring

  • Coordinate and lead the response to major IT incidents, including communication with all stakeholders and tracking progress until resolution.
  • Provide timely and effective incident communication to key stakeholders, including senior leadership, business owners, and impacted teams.
  • Manage and prioritize the incident management queue, ensuring that incidents are being handled according to their level of severity and business impact.
  • Continuously improve the Major Incident Management process and documentation, to ensure that it remains fit for purpose and aligned with ITIL best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements, including incident management reporting, documentation, and incident root cause analysis.
  • Facilitate postincident reviews and ensure that action items are documented, tracked, and completed in a timely manner. Serve as the primary point of contact for major IT incidents and lead the response effort from start to finish.
  • Quickly assess the situation, determine the severity of the incident, and initiate the appropriate response plan.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including technical and nontechnical stakeholders, to resolve the incident and restore services.

What is needed to succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field nice to have.
  • 810 years of experience in IT Service Management with a focus on Major Incident Management.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL/ITSM principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide crossfunctional teams during highstress situations.
  • Experience with incident management tools and platforms such as Service-Now.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Willingness to work in a fastpaced, 24/7/365 environment with oncall availability.
  • ITIL certification preferred.
