André Fernandes

I am a person who has always tried to integrate my personal interests, as a volunteer within the scope of Social Solidarity, in organizations such as Refood, Not2Waste, with my passion for Science.

My main motivation for making this application is the fact that I realize that in this company I will be able to fulfill a great personal goal for me, to integrate the two areas I refer to in the second paragraph. This is what moves me as a human being, to create a better world in the promotion of this type of service. I am a young person focused on achieving goals, and I know that my learning and reasoning skills as a student, researcher and professional will be an asset in achieving this goal. 

During my academic career, I acquired profound knowledge in Chemistry and Biochemistry fields, with the integration of a final internship in the area of ​​Toxicology in the Department of Chemistry and Forensic Toxicology at the National Institute of Legal Medicine and a second, to obtain a Master's degree in the area of ​​Biochemistry applied to Biotechnology. In both, I was given the chance to develop theoretical/technical knowledge at the level of working with chemical analysis equipment such as GC-FID, GC-MS, HPLC-MS/MS/MS and AKTA-Purifier, as well as other techniques analysis and tracking inherent to their use. I am currently attending a specialization course for graduates at EPAL, in water quality analysis and public health promotion.
