Emmanuel Chukwuemeka

I am a structural engineer with over 3 years of experience in the concrete and steel structures. I am proficient in structural design and detailing as well as BIM using industry based softwares like Revit, Etabs, Sap2000, Tekla and AutoCAD.

I am resourceful, dynamic and a forward thinking person with strong work ethics.

I worked as a Structural Engineer at TOMHIT Consults, where my focus was on finding ways to save costs without compromising safety in projects. I spent my days reviewing plans, collaborating in team meetings, and utilizing BIM for smoother project coordination. From preparing construction details to brainstorming solutions for on-site structural challenges, like redesigning an office complex to meet both budget and quality requirements, every task was a chance to innovate and optimize.

Before my role at TOMHIT, I had the opportunity to intern at ARUP, where I delved deep into the world of structural engineering. From modeling tasks to analyzing structures and participating in site visits and tests, each experience sharpened my skills. I contributed to designing drainage systems, pavements, and even verified bridge designs by hand, learning the importance of attention to detail and precision in every aspect of the job.

During my time as a Construction Management Intern at Interkel Nigeria Limited, I had the chance to see the construction process from a different angle. Monitoring workers, tracking project progress, and diving into data analysis were all part of the daily routine. I made sure that quality was never compromised, overseeing concrete batching and leveling processes to ensure everything met the highest standards.

These experiences have shaped me both personally and professionally, giving me a solid foundation in structural engineering and project management. I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had to learn and grow, and I'm excited to continue making a difference in the field.

I hold a bachelors degree in civil engineering and I am currently pursuing a masters degree in Advanced structural analysis and design using composite materials.
