Inês Botequilha

As a creative enthusiast with a wide array of interests and a curious mind, I have evolved into a multidisciplinary designer with a keen awareness of my surroundings. This inherent adaptability enables me to thrive in dynam- ic work environments and respond swiftly to evolving challenges. My love for travel has significantly influenced my creative journey, having lived and worked in diverse cities like Lisbon, London, and Barcelona. I possess a strong sense of independence, yet I thrive on collaboration, constantly seeking op- portunities to learn and grow through interaction with diverse perspectives and experiences.

I began my professional journey as an intern at WYgroup in Lisbon, Portugal, in June 2017. During this internship, I provided essential design support services for the largest independent marketing and digital services group in the country.

In September 2021, I joined Methinks AI in Barcelona, Spain, as a Design Intern. At Methinks AI, I worked as a junior designer in an artificial intelligence company focused on developing AI software for medical assistance. My role involved creating and modifying print and digital materials, collaborating closely with product specialists to develop user-centered design concepts, and proposing modifications to the company's website.

Subsequently, I joined Bliss Applications in Lisbon, Portugal, in March 2022 as a Junior UX/UI Designer at Bliss Applications. In this capacity, my responsibilities encompassed content creation for various communication formats, including social networks, newsletters, and websites. I actively participated in studying market references and best practices, supported the creation of interaction flows and prototypes, facilitated usability tests, and contributed to the final UI interfaces.

My journey then led me to freelance work for Bliss Applications in July 2022, where I undertook a significant project involving the makeover of an existing banking app interface (UI). This project also required me to create new illustrations and UI elements.

Since September 2022 and continuing to the present, I have been engaged in freelance design work in both London, UK, and Lisbon, Portugal. In this role, I have had the opportunity to work on multiple projects related to branding, UX/UI, and graphic design. These experiences have further enriched my professional portfolio, allowing me to explore my creativity and apply my design expertise in diverse projects.

I earned my High School Diploma in Visual & Creative Arts from CAD in Lisbon, Portugal, spanning from September 2016 to June 2019. I achieved a commendable grade of 17/20 during this period, showcasing my dedication to visual and creative arts.

Subsequently, I pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic and Media Design at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. My undergraduate journey began in 2019 and is set to conclude in 2023. This program has provided me with a comprehensive foundation in graphic and media design, equipping me with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in this field.
