Hello, I’m Inês, a Lisbon based and born graphic designer. At the age of 3 and as a kid, I was already obsessed with colours, letters and drawing. At the age of 10 I was with a new obsession, fashion, and everything that was high-end and beautiful. So I just keep drawing and drawing, clothes, accessories, shoes, perfume bottles and boxes with colours. At the age of 16 I went to a art high school called António Arroio, at this time I was very passionate about industrial design, and how everything was built, specially packaging. I would also dabble in technical and architectural drawing at this stage.
Inevitably, I went to college to study Graphic Design, in a university called IADE (Instituto de Artes e Design – Universidade Europeia). It was at this moment that I discovered exactly what I really wanted for my professional life and this was to work as a graphic designer, because that would allow me the freedom to do what I wanted in terms of creativity.
I finally found what I wanted to do, I love aesthetic, it is my passion. The thing I enjoy the most apart from the creative freedom is the fact that in graphic design I am able to combine traditional design, printing, technology and digital design, it is the perfect playground for me and I truly love this field.
Several years have passed and I still love my job, I enjoy working and whenever a new project appears, I am all in, because the excitement that I feel is something that still exists since the first project I ever worked in. These past years I worked on different types of projects, such as branding, brand identity, corporate design, web design, editorial, illustration, packaging and print. Experiência
I have helped brands and startups achieve their objectives in launching versatile brands in both digital channels and tangible means of communication.
As an example, one of the projects that I enjoyed to develop the most was the rebranding of a luxury restaurant in Portugal that has more than 10,000 thousand unique clients per month and an average monthly revenue of 100,000 thousand Euros.
I was in charge of the complete rebrand and all the processes involved with it. It was one of the most exciting projects that I managed. From managing different suppliers for high quality printing for the menus, to designing their website, their social media presence and the tone that should be used. It was also one of the first restaurants to use QR codes for clients to open the menu, this was a solution suggested that came up due to the pandemic and the client quickly agreed to it.
