Manuel Lopes Soares

A 24 years old engineer in construction. Currently in the last year of a master's degree in Biological Engineering. I discovered my passion for bioprocess design and optimization during the second year of my master’s program, where I was captivated by the challenge of optimizing biological and chemical systems for real-world applications and industries. Additionally, through my involvement in diverse extracurricular activities, I have developed strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Professional Experience:

• Host and Promotor at SpringEvents, BrandP: Involved in various congresses and events, such as ESCMID Global 2024 in Barcelona.
• Research Fellowship at Fundec, IST: Focused on Geographic Information Systems from December 2021 to June 2022.
• Environmental Engineering Internship at Nemus: Conducted Environmental Impact Studies and Monitoring Plans.
• Chemical Analysis Internship at MAREFOZ Research Laboratory: Engaged in coastal water analysis and macroinvertebrate sample screening.
• Graduate Research Fellowship in Analytical Chemistry at CQE, IST: Studied mercury concentrations in the subarctic region of Northern Canada.
• Math Tutor: Tutored high/middle school students in physics, mathematics, and chemistry, developing strong teaching and adaptability skills.
