Mariana Silva

Born in Madeira, Mariana has been interested in audiovisuals since she was very young, and grew up taking part in comedic sketches and amateur acting. Her passion has only grown with time, and in 2018, she started her bachelor in Multimedia at the Escola Superior de Medias Artes in Porto, finishing it in 2022. She is the director and writer of the animated short film “A Teoria da Evolução” (The Theory of Evolution), which was nominated in the category of “best short animation” in the Sophia Student Awards 2021, her short has been around a lot of festivals since then. Her biggest aspiration is to continue to write stories and being able to share a little bit of her imagination.

Currently shes taking her masters in “Comunicação Audiovisual - Especialização em Produção e Realização Audiovisual” (Audiovisual Communication - Specialization in Audiovisual Production and Direction) in the Escola Superior de Medias Artes e Design, in Porto.
