Marta Mendes

Hi my name is Marta, I'm 25 years old and I've just finished my master's degree in chemical and biological engineering. 
I am a motivated, organised and committed person to achieve and follow my professional and personal goals. 
To be able to study, I left my parents' house and my island, and recently I became the first person in my family to attend and complete higher education degree. 

  I am fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese (the latter being my native language), however, I'm always looking and searching to improve. 

Without mentioning work outside the field of chemical and biological engineering, I had the opportunity to do an internship at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, at IIAD, an institute specialising in the development and research in the food area. In this internship, I had the possibility to work in the area of polymers applied to food packaging. 

I spent 5 years in Braga, at the University of Minho, where I took my degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering, followed by a Masters in the same area. During this time, I was also part of the students group of my course where I played the role of fiscal council, being responsible for supervising the meetings and activities of the group.
