Raquel Pereira

I am a young Master in Biopharmaceutical Sciences, ended my degree with an average of 17.5/20. I completed this degree by developing a research dissertation on neurodegenerative diseases, obtaining a final score of 19/20.

Throughout my academic education, I developed professional and improved my personal skills. Now, I pursue to apply these competencies, acquire new ones, and even improve the pre-existing ones. I am a committed and interested person and feel especially motivated and enthusiastic to start my professional path.

Research training at CNS blood and peripheral inflammation Lab, where I developed my dissertation, entitled "Detection of age-associated changes of the targets of disease- modifying therapies in Multiple Sclerosis", supervised by Professor Doctor Adelaide Fernandes and Doctor Andreia Barateiro, ending with a final score of 19/20. During this year I had direct interaction with the investigation field, and improved my laboratory and data analysis skills:

- RNA extraction from mice CNS samples, and RNA quantification; RT-qPCR;
- Immunohistochemistry;
- Luxol Fast Blue technique;

- Zeiss Zen imaging software;
- ImageJ (Fiji Is Just) imaging analysis software; GraphPad Prism statistical analysis software; 

- Microsoft 365, especially Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Regarding my education, I recently finished my master´s degree in Biopharmaceutical Sciences at Faculdade de Farmácia, Universidade de Lisboa. Furthermore, I also took a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry at Faculdade de Ciências, Universidade de Lisboa
