I am a Barrister (Lincoln’s Inn) and Attorney-at-Law and have been practising mainly international and corporate/commercial law (oil and gas specialty) for over seventeen (17) years now. I have worked extensively in matters involving international investment and trade, ethics and compliance, international trade disputes, and negotiations in the steel, tourism, energy, maritime, manufacturing, agricultural and financial industries. I was also the chief negotiator representing tourism on the Trinidad and Tobago negotiating team for Bi-lateral Partial Scope Agreements, Tourism Agreements, Cultural Agreements and Bilateral Investment Treaties and chief legal counsel for Trinidad and Tobago in the ‘One Ticket Multiple Destinations’ initiative among Curacao, Venezuela, Colombia, Bonaire, Aruba & Grenada.

I have been in private practice with Resolution Chambers approximately three (3) years now and some noteworthy clients include, Massy Wood Group Ltd. which is jointly owned by the Energy division of Massy Holdings Limited, Trinidad & Tobago’s largest conglomerate and Wood Group Production Services Network (WGPSN), a division of Wood Group – a leading, global independent services provider for the oil & gas and power generation markets. Steadfast in its core values of SAFETY, PEOPLE, QUALITY, ETHICS and PASSION, Massy Wood Group provides a range of brownfield and greenfield services to the oil and gas, petrochemical and power industries in Trinidad and Tobago with general services offered with respect to Engineering, Procurement, Construction; Commissioning/Decommissioning; Maintenance; Strategic Asset Management; Subcontractor Management and Supply Chain Management. Another is Cable Bahamas Limited ("CBL"), the only 100% Bahamian owned communications provider, delivering residential and corporate broadband internet, cable television, fixed line and mobile telephone and data services, to the vast majority of the Bahamian population, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This network is comprised of 14 free-to-air broadcast systems on 11 islands, eight stand-alone cable TV systems, and four triple play systems networked by a submarine fibre. Together, CBL services 99 percent of the Bahamian population. Its submarine fibre continues into the United States, connecting to a terrestrial fibre in South Florida, creating a terrestrial fibre ring around the state, and providing triple play services to four additional systems. 

I have been the International Chapter Leader of the University of London International Programmes since 2010 to present and have won several awards in law which include English Legal System, Constitutional Law, Contract Law and the Gold Award for Organisational Impact at Massy Wood Group Ltd. I was also the Global Legal Knowledge Manager for Central and South America for ArcelorMittal and General Manager of ISG Trinidad Unlimited in 2013. I continue to save my clients hundreds of millions of dollars in out of court negotiation settlements with the latest being over $300MM in October 2020 for one of the State Enterprises in the Agricultural Sector.

I have recently completed my Master in Business Administration (Oil & Gas Management) successfully in July 2020 with the University of Bedfordshire and is currently embarking upon my doctoral studies.

I provide legal services in relation to all EPCM projects and other legal instruments particularly as it relates to the Company’s clients like SHELL, BPTT, ALNG, METHANEX. I have thus far protected the Company from successful legal onslaught by preventing litigation and settling all matters out of court with little to no damage to both the Company's reputation as well as financial impact. The prestigious Gold Award for Organisation Impact from the Company was awarded to me for saving the Company millions of dollars in lawsuits as well as ensuring both staff and contractors adhere to ethical principles since Ethics is a core value of the Company.

Cable Bahamas Ltd. (Nassau, Bahamas) (June 2020 – March 2023) 

• Advise a broad range of domestic and international carriers (wireless and wireline) VoIP providers, application providers and trade associations on a wide range of communications and privacy law issues.
• Counsel clients in areas such as state and federal regulatory compliance and licensing.
• Conduct inter-carrier negotiations.
