    Are you motivated about providing the best possible Developer Experience using your competencies as a Software Developer? Do you enjoy working with infrastructure, developer tools and End-To-End solutions that will lessen the cognitive load for the many different internal developers in Vestas?     You will be part of the Product Team responsible for the Developer Experience. We develop and deliver strategies, roadmaps, and build platforms in our product structure through a business-oriented approach to ensure that we can accelerate our internal developers.

    As a DevOps Engineer in our Product Team, you have the opportunity to make a significant impact for Vestas' Developers, improving their digital experience.

    In the Developer Experience Product Team, we seek to enable Vestas' Software Development Teams to focus on their core Development while we maintain and evolve the Development Platform to an Enterprise grade delivery across the full value chain. Vestas Digital Technology Solutions is fully Hybrid, working with Azure Cloud and Enterprise On-Premises data center solutions.

    Responsibilities

    In your position as a DevOps Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be to:

  • Working with our Developer Tooling Framework covering the whole DevOps Toolchain including Plan, Code, Build, Test, Deploy, and Observe
  • Developing Services that provide the best possible Developer Experience in Vestas
  • Acting as a Consultant / Advisor to Vestas Development Teams sitting in various entities in our organization
  • Acting as a Consultant within our own department actively supporting other Product and Development Teams in their - Development Journey, e.g. through training and taking development/automation tasks within these Products
  • Collaborating with our Product Owner ensuring that our platforms live up to our business needs and goals
  • Contributing to the overall Governance on how to use our Tooling right
  • Contributing to Platform roadmap and contribute to improving capabilities within the area
  • Providing feedback regarding development or engineering methodologies, standards, and leading practices
  • Maintaining and spreading the DevOps culture and ways of working across Vestas
  • Qualifications

    Working in our Product Team naturally requires a solid technical understanding of the cloud. However, a good understanding of on-premises data center technologies is also beneficial as many cloud workloads are and will continue to be hybrid in nature and integrate with on-premises solutions.

    You have:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Significant experience with managing Atlassian Jira, including hosting, user management, addons etc.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki
  • Experience with a general-purpose programming language such as Golang, C# or Python
  • Experience with software engineering principles and best practices, such as version control using Git
  • Experience with Agile ways of working and experience with Microsoft Azure typically in a DevOps team structure
  • An interest in Linux, open source, and Cloud Native Tools
  • Coding knowledge for automation of infrastructure (experience with Terraform and Pulumi or similar declarative and idempotent approach)
  • Basic understanding of distributed systems and container orchestrators such as Kubernetes
