    We are looking for a Financial Specialist (m/f/d) to join our Accounting Team

    About the role

    We are recruiting an Financial Specialist, for our Financial Governance team as part of the Hub in Lisbon and responsible for more than 12 entities in the region of South West Europe.

    You will be integrated in an international, energetic and dynamic team, with a mission of being accounting topic expert in all accounting topics, and the overall goal of supporting and advising the business concerning the accounting treatments applied in their company's books & records.

    Your responsibilities

    - Performing regular critical reviews of the Balance Sheet of the company

    - Performing regular in‑depth reviews of selected balance sheet items, using a risk‑based approach. Develop a deep understanding of the underlying business transactions reflected in the books and records. Monitor and analyze all business related accruals and provisions.

    - Advising the business on accounting and system related questions to ensure correctness of books and records. Perform trainings on demand. Drive the implementation of new accounting standards and the enhancement and harmonization of the accounting systems.

    - Performing and developing regular controls and analysis using standard reports and promote digitalisation opportunities in its development and creation.

    - Support operations and business teams on the closing and reporting process to ensure correct consolidation at month end

    - Coordinating all external and internal audits. Interact with Management and staff of internal service providers and other Corporate Departments to ensure smooth and error‑free process flows.

    - Working on digitalization and automation of financial processes to improve daily and monthly tasks. Improve accounting related process and reports by using digital tools.

    Qualifications

    - Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Accounting & Finance or similar;

    - At least 2/3 years of experience acquired in consulting, auditing or multinational companies;

    - Excellent knowledge of system SAP (not mandatory);

    - Good Excel knowledge & capabilities;

    - Strong critical thinking, problem solving and efficient communication skills, as well as initiative and proactiveness in using new tools and processes especially in the digitalisation area (RPA, Power BI, etc.)

    - Ability to work under pressure, on a changing environment.

    - Understanding of general accounting principles, external (IFRS) accounting standards to be able to understand and apply Siemens internal financial guidelines.
