Overview of Role

  • FinTrU are expanding our Cyber Security team at FinTrU in Porto.

We are looking for a Cyber Security Specialist to help safeguard our information system assets, help protect our systems by defining access privileges, control structures and resources, as well as implement security improvements.

Reporting to the Senior Cyber Security Manager, you will be based at our Porto offices at Rua Santa Catarina, with Hybrid working.

This will be a Vice President level role in our structure, and will require experience in excess or around 6+ years in the relevant field.


Job Details

  • The specialist's focus is not only limited to assessing whether vulnerabilities exist but also how those risks could be mitigated which can help provide organizations with more confidence about system stability going forward.
  • Ultimately, you will work to ensure the security of our business information, employee data and client information throughout our entire network and environment.
    Responsibilities
  • Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits.
  • Control our network and infrastructure systems based on the model that we have nowadays.
  • Implement and maintain security controls.
  • Help to identify and solve potential and actual security problems.
  • Assess the current situation, evaluating trends and anticipating security requirements.
  • Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as a Cyber Security Specialist or similar role.
  • Strong cloud security knowledge
  • Azure.
  • Knowledge of the ZScaler solution (Not mandatory but is a nicetohave)
  • Handson experience analysing high volumes of logs, network data and other attack artifacts.
  • Experience with vulnerability scanning solutions.
  • Proficiency with antivirus and security software.
  • Experience in dealing with ransomware and/or other attacks.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
