The Finance Associate at Hala is an integral member of the Finance Team that reports directly to the Corporate Finance Manager and also works closely with Hala's CFO & Deputy COO.

The Finance Associate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and owning models and analyses across the whole FP&A cycle, including financial forecasting, budgeting, planning and reporting activities, in order to derive insights from data to support decision making and the execution of Hala's corporate strategy.

This position is located in Lisbon, with a yearly gross salary range of 43.800€ €.


We'll trust you to:


  • These are the responsibilities for the position_
  • Support Hala's corporate planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities, including supporting the development of financial models and analytical tools to inform analysis (rolling 12month forecasts, headcount plans and personnel models, longterm financial models, etc.).
  • Contribute to periodical recurring analyses throughout the FP&A cycle (i.e. Runway Analysis, Variance Analysis, among others).
  • Design, build and update financial models and analytical tools to inform analysis.
  • Develop and/or improve and update Hala's financial dashboards for internal and external reporting.
  • Support the preparation of managerial and investor reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing financial data.
  • Assist with special projects and other duties on an adhoc basis (e.g., strategic analyses, specific P&L projections, etc.).
  • Assist with fundraising strategy, including developing marketing materials and supporting financial models.
  • Support the development of quantitative analysis of Hala's operational and financial data to determine how to most effectively utilize company resources, improve profitability, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Assist Hala's leadership in ensuring that Hala is always duediligence ready; support due diligence requests.

We'd love to see:


  • These are the technical skills and qualifications_
  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, or other quantitative fields.
  • 4+ years of work experience in financial planning & analysis, investment banking, consulting, and/or corporate finance.
  • Exceptional financial modeling skills and attention to detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of budgeting and forecasting techniques, as well as proficiency with financial statement analysis and projections.
  • Excellent capabilities with MS Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Understanding of accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS).
  • Experience working crossculturally, crossfunctionally and collaboratively with remote and distributed teams.
  • Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, including the ability to present to the company.
