Job Summary
Teaching Assistant will work with Teachers to conduct multiple class duties at school.

They work with students to assist them with their class activities, they help manage class behaviour and supervise students during school events, playtime, and outings.

Teaching Assistants work for designated hours and their schedule is from Monday to Friday. If necessary, they may need to work on weekends or evenings to assist Teachers during special events.

Description of Job Duties

Getting the classroom ready for lessons and clearing away afterwards so as to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Assisting Teachers in preparing the lesson materials and school equipment.
Recording and reporting a student ́s progress to the teacher.
Helping students stay focused during class hours.
Supervising group activities, sports events, and school trips
Helping Teachers manage student behaviour.
Looking after children who are unwell or upset.
Providing a healthy and safe learning environment to children
Preparing classroom display with the guidance of the teacher.
After school duties and supervision

Skills & Requirements

Ability to communicate clearly with teachers and younger children.
Ability to create an encouraging learning environment for students.
Active listening skills
Understanding and sensitivity towards children.
Excellent knowledge of lessons that students are required to learn in class.
Ability to carry out tasks involving a computer or hand device.
Ability to remain calm during stressful situations.
Willingness to work on different activities conducted inside and outside school premises.
