Hiscox Europe, Hiscox Europe, which includes Germany, France, Benelux, Iberia and Ireland, is hiring an IT Software Tester to expand our Quality Assurance team, and work on a variety of projects for our European insurance business across different technologies and countries.

As part of Europe Technology Team, based in Lisbon, and reporting to the Quality Assurance Lead, you will be involved designing tests, coordinating the user acceptance testing phases, performing test automation and, above all, contributing to the improvement of software quality.

How will you help us? With your interest in software testing, and your knowledge/experience in software testing automation

Graduation in Informatics, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or similar, with good understanding of software development lifecycle.
Previous experience, at least 10 years, as Software Tester/Test Manager working with business and IT stakeholders; previous experience in Insurance specific business is a plus.
Previous experience, at least 8 years, working in automation testing projects.
Previous experience working as Test management leading QA projects.
Previous experience with Automated API Testing (REST).
Previous experience defining and implementing automation frameworks.
Previous experience using gherkin language (given/when/then) for automation.
Previous experience of test automation using Selenium web driver in Java or equivalent programming language.
Certification in ISTQB Advanced level.
Good written and verbal English communication skills, additional language (German, French, Spanish, or Dutch) is a plus.

What we expect from you? To work with development teams and business users to promote and move forward with test automation.

Lead the automation testing activities, aligned with Hiscox testing approach.
Maintain an efficient and reliable automation framework.
Perform regular reviews on the automation test cases, create automated test reporting and metrics.
Create automation test plans and followup with the automation team.
Use Zephyr and Jira to manage testing cycle and manage defects.
Build a close working relationship with business sponsors, analysts, project managers and IT delivery teams.
