About the job
This role will support two primary teams within the Global Markets Americas Chief Conduct and Controls Office (CCCO):
- Front Office Conduct & Surveillance (FOCS): team monitors trading & sales business activity and electronic Communications, with the objective of deterring, detecting, and preventing Conduct Risk breaches. Team develops automated tools for monitoring and performing customized data analytics
- Business Supervision & Controls (BS&C): team collaborates with Trading, Sales, Structuring, and Risks Management teams (2LOD) to help keep nonfinancial risks to an acceptable level. BS&C is a key component in the assessment and management of nonfinancial risks and implementation of the controls framework
Your Main Activities Are
- Support the FOCS and BS&C teams in NY with adhoc requests (KPIs, reporting, regulatory, etc.);
- Assist in the development of automated tools for monitoring Global Markets Staff and performing customized data analytics;
- Contribute to the design, implementation and visualizations of the monitoring procedures to more effectively identify actual or potential conduct risk scenarios;
- Build an endtoend report by improving the data collection and manipulation as well as developing/improving visualizations to be presented in committees and presentations
Profile and Skills to Success
- Academic background in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, IT or similar areas (preferential);
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem solving skills;
- Strong team work while being able to work autonomously;
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a sense of professionalism
- Motivated and driven to learn more about Global Markets
- Proficient with MS Office tools (preferential but not mandatory);
- Knowledge Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI) (preferential but not mandatory);
- Basic programming skills (e.g. Python, VBA) (preferential but not mandatory);;
- Fluency in English (mandatory);
