Who You'll Work With:


  • You will be based in Lisbon or Madrid.
  • You'll lead a group of analysts and specialists as well as convene a multidisciplinary team that includes experts in design, communications, competitive intelligence, and other disciplines. Together we'll support discrete, priority client development opportunities within the global energy and materials practice.

What You'll Do:


  • You will help McKinsey win work by leading multidisciplinary proposal response team(s), developing new, distinctive, and innovative approaches as required. Your work will clearly articulate how McKinsey creates impact for clients.
  • Leading a team of 13 analysts/specialists and mobilizing other experts from across McKinsey, you'll coach, advise, and drive highpriority proposals across the Telecom practice. In addition to 'getting the work done', you'll help ensure proposal strategies, tactics, materials, and meetings are clear, compelling, and persuasive. Your presence through kickoff, relationship mapping, proposal submission, rehearsal and debrief will give you a unique strategic role and valuable oversight that helps our strategy and story thrive.
  • You'll review and edit proposal documents so that they're compelling and crystal clear, helping to structure, write and revise them. You'll help analyze our position in relation to other firms, so we can develop a clear, strong value proposition that shows how McKinsey is truly different. You'll make our proposals visionary and highimpact by advising on the best media, structure, style and content to use. Serving as a coach, you will advise teams throughout the proposal process. You'll brainstorm with them on how to better understand what the client decisionmakers need and value. You will help teams develop the confidence and polish to deliver winning proposal presentations by giving constructive feedback, pushing ideas further and rehearsing presentations. You'll debrief proposal outcomes with clients, gaining insight on what we did well and where we could do better.
  • Part of your role will be to develop insights on how our proposals can systematically be more successful. You'll give other guidance and input as needed, for example in helping practice managers improve qualifications packs. Finally, you'll help develop and encourage best practices across the region, creating an innovation center that transforms opportunities into client impact.

Qualifications:


  • University degree
  • 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven success in professional services proposal management and client communications
  • Strong project management
  • Superior stakeholder management and relationshipbuilding skills
  • Excellent team leadership, management and motivation
  • Proven ability to drive to results via a team
  • Experience/interests in management consulting, business performance and holistic client impact
  • Experience/interest in the Telecom or Mobile Communications industries
  • Strong verbal and written communications
