    Mercer Portugal is seeking candidates for the following position based in Lisbon:

    Billing Assistant – Health and Benefits team

  • The Health and Benefits Admin team main objectives are related to ensure the operational management with the Insurance Company. It is focused on making inclusions, exclusions and data changes, verify and reconcile the billing and support the claims processes, including the support of a Clinical Consultant, manage the employee benefits and provide support.

  • We will count on you to:

  • Provide client invoicing and consultant time keeping support via: accurate client account/project code set-up; reconciliation of monthly charges vs. project budget; development of draft invoices; discipline to ensure timely and accurate invoicing of clients;
  • Assist with bill/invoice reporting on a timely and accurate basis. Assist in the generation of bill/invoice reports for distribution to client teams for verification of hours and description of services;
  • Assist with the set up of billing/project codes and liaise with billing system administrator (find out what the client assignments will be, initiate codes in billing system, add codes to pick list as needed, etc);
  • Assist in the update client billing spreadsheets as necessary.
  • What you need to have:
  • Previous experience with billing;
  • At least a B2 level of English;
  • Microsoft Excel skills;
  • Team Player with excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Be people oriented;
  • Organized and process oriented;
  • Good communication skills.
