Thermoheat Portugal is seeking for an accomplished and professional General Manager to manage all business operations and expand our company further.

Main tasks / responsibilities
Thermoheat is a Dutch international organization that provides customers a wide range of Refractory products and services.

We design, supply and install heat resistant products in various primary industries such a petrochemical, chemical industry, metal industry and offshore.

With more than 40 years of experience in this niche market, Thermoheat is a valued partner in The Netherlands and abroad.

In this roll role, you will be responsible for leading the Thermoheat-Office in Portugal on a daily basis. Your responsibilities will have a wide range.


An overview of General Management responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing and executing the company's business strategies;
• Able to provide strategic advice to the Director and Management team of Thermoheat B.V (The Netherlands).;
• Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost

- effective operations and market development activities;

• Ensure company policies and legal guidelines;
• Communicate and maintain a good relationship with all relations and act as a public relations representative of the company.
• Oversee the company's financial performance, investments and other business ventures;
• Supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.
• Monitor daily operations and address potential issues when they arise;
• Coordinate with the HR/administration department to ensure our hiring plan meet our business needs;
• Responsible for HSE within the business unit;
• Responsible for HR within the business unit;
• Responsible for the daily execution of Sales
• Engineering

- and administrative
- departments within Thermoheat Portugal.


Required profile:

This role necessitates strong communication and influencing trough collaboration, internally externally.

To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive, while ensuring our profits are on the rise.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a managerial position or similar executive role;
• Degree in business, Management or related field;
• Experience in Refractory industry (or similar) for at least 7 years;
• Excellent understanding of the local requirements both from legal and business perspective;
• Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations)
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills;
• Outstanding analytical and problemsolving abilities;
• Experience with budgeting and forecasting;
• English, French and Portuguese language in word and writing
• The ability to travel abroad (The Netherlands, Spain, France)
