David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading tech company that is looking to recruit Automation Tester for their Lisbon office.

hybrid remote in Lisbon, Portugal


Employment type:
Full-time


Remuneration:
Base salary.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Design and develop robust test automation scripts to validate software functionality, ensuring scalability and maintainability
  • Collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, and engineers to understand requirements and align automation efforts with project goals
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, execution, and reviews
  • Execute automated test scripts, monitor results, and report defects accurately using designated tracking tools
  • Continuously identify opportunities for improvement in test automation frameworks, tools, and processes
  • Document automation frameworks, scripts, and procedures, and share knowledge with team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 46 years of proven experience in QA engineering, Software Engineering in Test (SET), or Test Automation Engineering roles
  • Extensive experience in various testing techniques, including Automated UI testing, Automated API testing, and Testdriven development (TDD) strategies
  • Proficiency in automation tools such as Rest Assured and Selenium for API and UI automation
  • Strong programming skills in Java, with the ability to write efficient, maintainable automation scripts
  • Handson experience with SQL for data validation and manipulation
  • Familiarity with unit testing libraries/frameworks, version control systems (e.g., Git), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins
  • Excellent problemsolving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Working schedule: Monday to Friday, office hours.
