David Kennedy Recruitment is working with a leading tech company that is looking to recruit Automation Tester for their Lisbon office.

Automation Tester

Location:
hybrid remote in Lisbon, Portugal

Employment type:
Full-time

Remuneration:
Base salary.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and develop robust test automation scripts to validate software functionality, ensuring scalability and maintainability
Collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, and engineers to understand requirements and align automation efforts with project goals
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, execution, and reviews
Execute automated test scripts, monitor results, and report defects accurately using designated tracking tools
Continuously identify opportunities for improvement in test automation frameworks, tools, and processes
Document automation frameworks, scripts, and procedures, and share knowledge with team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
46 years of proven experience in QA engineering, Software Engineering in Test (SET), or Test Automation Engineering roles
Extensive experience in various testing techniques, including Automated UI testing, Automated API testing, and Testdriven development (TDD) strategies
Proficiency in automation tools such as Rest Assured and Selenium for API and UI automation
Strong programming skills in Java, with the ability to write efficient, maintainable automation scripts
Handson experience with SQL for data validation and manipulation
Familiarity with unit testing libraries/frameworks, version control systems (e.g., Git), and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins
Excellent problemsolving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
Working schedule: Monday to Friday, office hours.
