Your mission will be


The Accounting Automation Lead supports the GBS WEA Recor-to-Report Accounting Service Lines in developing and extending its portfolio on services offering that supports the End-To-End cycle of an ERP systems implementation, from the early Project stages such as Demand Management and Business Relationship Management, to Service development, releases, Testing and Validations.

It consists of o a Team Leader role related to the GBS WEA PT Accounting Service Line that in concrete involves in the following activities:


  • Foster existing business relationship and drive new business opportunities for closing sales leads on ERP systems implementation supports;
  • Drive and manage endtoend service offering process (from business case, proposal management, customer negotiation, contracting until team execution) for finance automation services such as data migrating, testing and process documentation; as part of SherpaX / S4Hana implementation and Rollout projects (for Siemens and other Siemens Legacy companies);
  • Support Continues Improvements process withing GBS WEA R2R Portugal Accounting Service Line, by driving innovation and digital transformation, including refinements to the processes, tools and metrics to optimize our services and to set basis for new growth opportunities;
  • Support Knowledge Management process by driving and coordinating lesson learnt and training sessions as result of any Finance Automation Project or ERP Implementation, as well as participates in training activities and programs for new procedures, service extensions or enhancements;
  • Drive and coordinate training sessions, as well as, rampup of new resources in order to assure a market adequate steadily growing workforce;
  • Provide consulting and expert services for timely completion of month end closing process and SAP rollout;

Risk Management:
To participate in compliance program and internal control activities;

  • Review the performance of the processes in GBS and recommend and follow up on the areas of improvement;
  • Delegate technical requests to relevant technical support personnel and ensure that issues are being resolved timely (support);
  • Oversees and manages all daytoday Accounting Finance Automation operations and proper execution of contracted project support services, within a team assigned;
  • Manages a team of SAP Expert staff;
  • Ensures coherence with accounting and / or controlling standards and internal guidelines, policies and procedures, adopts respective processes;
  • Ensures (budget) planning, allocates personnel material resources in daily operations, monitoring and reviews of unit's budget, and provides and comments Actual vs. Plan reports;
  • Ensure contractual Accounting ERP system support, by monitoring the team financial performance, provides KPI analyses, and prepares and comments respective performance reporting and forecasts (for all stakeholders).

We are looking for someone with

  • University Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics or equivalent;
  • Strong knowledge in modules FI and CO and good understanding of the interfaces into logistic modules (SD, MM, PS);
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in SAP ERP / S4Hana Projects;
  • Create process and procedures to track and monitor issues, gaps and change request;
  • Problem solving and fast thinking will help to resolve daily management issues;
  • Strong team management skills;
  • Project Management Skills (organized, structured and methodic);
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Agile Methodology;
  • Curious about new technologies and trends;
  • Continuous learning attitude;
  • Proficiency in English;
  • Strong communication skills (both orally and writing);
