Finance Manager
A global apparel supplier with a turnover of $1.2bn is seeking a Finance Manager for their business in Portugal. The entity in Portugal supplies fabric and têxtile to garment manufacturing factories in Portugal and Spain.

The Finance Manager will directly manage the accounts and finance team across the business.

They will be the responsible person for all day-to-day accounts and finance related decisions, managing the overall statement of accounts and financial position.

The Finance Manager will be responsible for cash flow management, working capital management, financial planning and analysis.


Finance Manager:

The Role:

• Responsible for preparation of monthly and annual Financial statements.
• Tracking cash flow and analysing the company's financial strengths and weaknesses, whilst proposing corrective actions
• Leading the processes and preparation of financial budgets and forecasts
• Direct and participate in cost analysis reviews, providing regular detailed reports to all stakeholders
• Negotiate contract/service/loan/credit terms with outside financial agencies, regularly reviewing contracts
• Establishing and maintaining good relationships with external partners, stakeholders, customers
• Assist the department heads in various projects as required, including project cost control, profitability analysis, project resource deployment analysis and invoicing follow up
• Develop and maintain best practice reporting, ensuring that the company's financial practices adhere to the statutory regulations and legislation.
• Document procedures and policies, to support the business with risk and compliance while strengthening internal controls
• Coordinate preparation for external audits and external financial reporting, including assisting with the preparation and filing of returns
• Support, build and develop the finance and administration team whilst overseeing their daytoday financial operations such as ledger maintenance, journals, invoicing and payroll

Finance Manager:

The Person:

• Experience and knowledge of both working practices in Portugal to ensure the company is operating in line with local regulations
• Excellent analytical skills and exceptional numerical proficiency
• Ability to confidently and effectively liaise both written and verbally, in local language and in English
• Excellent team player, leadership and management skills

Salary: 2,500.00€ - 4,000.00€ per month
