Global Category Specialist - IT

Ferring+You

You will ensure all category management related activities (marketplace investigations, internal demand mapping, stakeholder management, action plan, execution, delivery of procurement projects etc.) are strategized at a global level.

You will also handle local and global sourcing projects to ensure Ferring optimizes its spend and lead and be a point of reference for the IT subcategories for countries to ensure optimization of spend in all geographies.

By joining the Global Procurement team you'll be included in a global team, dealing with many stakeholders across countries, managing global and local contracts in all IT categories - software, hardware, communications, security, cloud, SAAS

Your day at Ferring- Develop and implement procurement strategies for the IT category, in line with the organization's objectives and goals.- Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and improvement in the IT category.- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing projects, including RFPs, RFIs, and supplier negotiations.- Manage supplier relationships to ensure compliance with contracts, service level agreements, and quality standards.- Continuously monitor market trends and innovations, and recommend new technologies and vendors to improve performance and reduce costs.- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including IT, legal, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment with business requirements and objectives.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement data, including spend analysis, supplier performance, and risk management.- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations, including ethical and legal standards.

Behind our innovation There's you- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field.- Minimum of three years of experience in procurement as a buyer, procurement specialist, or similar role.- Experience in IT procurement, including software, hardware, telecommunications, and related services.- Strong negotiation and communication skills.- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.- Knowledge of procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Fluent in English
