What You ́ll Do:

  • Manage large/sophisticated customer facing projects or multiple projects, taking a delivery management role in an account or group of accounts. Creation of a project schedule and plan with financial, resource and material requirements.
  • Develop and present proposals and final agreements. Provide leadership to project staff including project engineers, vendors, partners or subcontractors. Manage the project from start to completion including the resolution of called out project issues. Accountable for the Project Budget, Margins and completion within timelines. Presents service business value to customers for new or existing business.
  • Influence the customer in the assessment, planning and management of related network projects. May handle internal projects/programs within Cisco. May Program Manage ongoing optimization service to deployed customer networks. Acts as a mentor to Junior Project Managers. Works with the Project Management Community to further develop the PM role, processes and operations.
  • The Customer Project Manager will also be encouraged to chip in to the development of a project management methodology and assist in the continuous improvement of the Project Management Office.
  • The Customer Project Manager will lead Project teams to deliver multiple, simultaneous projects that span across several business or technology areas.

The CXC EMEA PMO team is located in strategic regions around the globe - Lisbon, Amman and Krakow - enabling a more consistent and relevant customer experience across barriers of time zone, language and local laws.


You Are:

  • The Customer Project Manager should be proficient with running scope, time, cost, quality, people, risk and communications for a project. Project/Program Management experience in the deployment of groundbreaking technologies in a highly complex commercial environment.
  • Has a professional project management training credentials (PMI). Has basic knowledge of routing, routing protocols, switching, internet and general network architecture. Has proven clear leadership skills and experience working with large project teams and strategic account teams. Has a good knowledge of the sales process including risk assessment and scoping. Has demonstrated a good understanding of the legal issues with contracts. Has proven sophisticated negotiation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Understands the organization, seeks and processes. Has good understanding of project management tools like MS Project, Jira, Power Apps, etc.
  • Good understanding of Quality concepts, methodologies and tools, ITSM/ITIL processes. Knowledge on Industry standard Certifications like ISO 9000.
  • Needs to be proficient in both English and (Italian or French or Spanish or Greek or Turkish or German or Portuguese), both in written and verbal skills.
  • Typically requires BS/BA degree or equivalent plus 5+ years in related experience in networking/telecom industry OR min 47 years leading LAN and/or WAN network implementation and support PLUS 45 years in a Clearly defined Project Management role.
  • Professional PM certification like PMP, Agile or equivalent
We ́ll be very impressed if you have any of these:

  • Work experience with customers and onsite is a plus.
  • Cisco certifications like CCNA, CCNP.
