About the Job:

The Data Analytics Manager at Lovys will lead the Data Analytics Department.

This role offers the opportunity to enrich the data strategy inside Lovys and support the startup on its growth path, leading two crucial teams of Data Analysts and Data Scientists.


Your Responsabilities:


Execution:

  • Work closely with stakeholders and Data Analysts in understanding data requirements, guiding towards the right data solutions and help building and maintaining data products for recurring consumption
  • Ensure requirement metrics and KPIs are well defined and met through the implementation
  • Recommend ways to efficiently provide quality data and added value
  • Manage, develop and maintain our data infrastructure and architecture
  • Prepare and update the quarter Data Analytics team roadmap
  • Ensure projects/initiatives are being delivered on time, to the required quality and scope, and have an active participation in a project/initiative of the company
  • Overseeing the annual Data Department budget and ensuring costeffectiveness

Team management:

  • Responsible for creating an inspiring team environment and contribute to building a strong data driven culture
  • Responsible for recruiting, for coaching and for growing team members, i.e. setting clear team goals etc. As well as monitoring team performance and reporting on performance metrics

Stakeholder management:

  • Demonstrate active stakeholder management, oversee daytoday operations and communicate job expectations, whilst collaborating with other departments and internal and external professionals
  • Manage external tools and service providers

Key Relationships

  • Stakeholders within the company, including Marketing, Finance, Insurance, Operations and Technology teams
  • Product/Technical owners and Project Managers
  • Peers within the Technology teams, Devops, QA & Tech
  • Third party vendors, partners and resources

About you:


Qualifications
University degree with a strong analytical/quantitative background or equivalent experience (e.g. Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Physics, Computer Science etc.)


Skills/knowledge

Key Skills:

  • Knowledge of Cloud data platforms (preferably Google).
  • Understanding of data warehousing and data lake concepts. Constructing relational and dimensional data models are necessary requirements.
  • Experience of Google Cloud and Looker is desirable.
  • Well organized with strong written, oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skills and good time management
  • Defining KPIs for the team and being able to steer the team based on them
  • Basic ML/AI knowledge and ability to translate business necessities to data science projects and viceversa

Experience:


  • More than 5 Yrs of experience
  • Extensive experience working in a similar or comparable role
  • Previous experience in managing a team
  • Exceptional experience in agile frameworks. E.g. Scrum and Kanban
  • Basic experience with ML/AI and/or managing data science teams
  • Working with stakeholders, from engineers to business owners
  • Experience in translation of data requirements into a data development pipeline
  • Experience in building data models and reporting/BI tools
  • Excellent working knowledge of SQL.
  • Experience defining the strategy of a team and working with other leadership teams around the company's goals.
