ROLE SUMMARY:


  • The Regional IT Manager is responsible for IT in all region's schools and office and support the business in the optimization of business processes, both in terms of hardware and software. They are responsible to run IT Operations & Projects, manage within agreed service levels, ensuring daytoday activities and a stateoftheart service is delivered to the business. They manage local IT field support agents and central IT support leads and they are also responsible for local IT Budget and Control IT running cost. The Regional IT Manager reports to the Group CIO and has a dotted reporting line to Regional CEO.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Business Relationship Management

  • Develop a strong understanding of business' processes
  • Develop a deep understanding of industry's IT landscape (i.e. key providers & solutions)
  • Establish working relationships with schools and office's leadership teams, and drive the use of technology to improve processes and efficiency
  • Serve as facilitator between Business and Group IT working identifying and promoting synergies.

2. Project Management

  • Lead IT projects ensuring that targets are delivered on time, in scope and within budget
  • Define programs or projects to implement the strategy defined together with the business partners
  • Establish and participate in Steering Committees for programs or projects
  • Establish and ensure successful Project Management (structure, roles & responsibilities, execution) in accordance with project methodology agreed.

3. IT Cost control

  • Review, manage and optimize the IT budget
  • Deliver monthly IT budget reports (plan & actual) ensuring accuracy on monthly costs
  • Develop business cases to support investment decisions (when required)
  • Accomplish financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective action

4. IT Service Management

  • Develop and steer network of external IT partners, ensuring proper SLA and OLAs
  • Define and monitor IT service and resilience KPIs
  • Ensure high IT service level, aligned with industry and group best practices
  • Mitigate negative deviations and impacts for local IT services or internal team

5. Continuous improvement

  • Continuously drive improve improvements in service management processes and levels and performance metrics in alignment with existing IT operating model and IT guidelines
  • Increase and continuously improve the IT maturity Level at the schools

6. Governance & Documentation

  • Keep the relevant documentation up to date, leading its creation and enhancements
  • Lead and monitor the IT Governance model ensuring compliance with company policies, IT guidelines and security standards
  • Steer/control the IT supplier/outsourcing contracts and corresponding delivery
  • Ensure IT License and & Asset Management and drive a structured IT Risk

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


Skills:


  • In-Depth tech knowhow both on the hardware (networks; servers) and software front (ERPs, API, data structures )
  • Strong analytical capabilities with ability to understand the big picture and decide accordingly (e.g. budget design and management)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities (e.g. ticketing system design and management; checklists )
  • Team leadership capabilities (recruitment, role definition, development,)
  • Good communication skills for collaborating with educational experts and senior team leaders
  • Actively tech curious, continuously striving to learn new technologies and solutions (e.g. what are best solutions to tackle problem Z)

Background:


  • Engineering, Economics, or Management Undergraduate or Masters degree from a well regarded university
  • Proven experience in managing IT/ Tech projects
  • Experience in leading and mana
