    Randstad Professionals is seeking a Finance Manager to be based in our client company's manufacturing facility in Portugal (Lousada - Porto).This role will be primarily responsible for the accounting of company's US entity and supporting the Outsourced Finance Team in Portugal. Reporting into the PT-based Group Accounting Manager and working very closely with the US Financial Controller. This individual will need to be an excellent communicator and fluent in both Portuguese and English.

    The role of Finance Manager is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing global finance team and play a lead role in continually improving and standardizing controls and processes across the Group. In order to succeed in this role, an individual must be able to work in a team environment with a high attention to detail and accuracy.

    Main areas of responsibility:
    Related to US (75% of the time):
    Monthly balance sheet reconciliations;
    Support month-end tasks (such as preparing and entering journal entries, reporting, analysis);
    Sales and use tax and GST/HST preparation and filing;
    Prepare financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies and Corporate;
    Assist with year-end close process and audit including preparing audit schedules, analysis,
    reconciliations, coordinating with accounting staff to complete deliverables to auditors and
    management;
    Assist with monthly variance analysis;
    Assist in yearly budget preparation and monthly forecast;
    Reconcile and maintain fixed assets;
    Assist and back-up AR/AP as required;
    Delivering process/system/control improvements.
    Related to Portugal (Shared Services Team) (25% of the time):
    Support the Group Accounting Manager in managing the Outsourced Finance Team;
    Support the team with AR, AP, Banking, intercompany reconciliations, journal postings, processing
    credit cards/expenses, etc;
    Delivering process/system/control improvements.

    competências

    Required qualifications and experience:
    University degree qualified;
    At least 3 years experience in industry in a similar role;
    Qualified accountant with strong technical accounting skills;
    Excellent communicator fluent in both Portuguese and English (mandatory);
    Experience working on SAGE X3 would be an advantage.
    Confident working in a fast paced, global environment;
    Availability to work on-site at Lousada (Porto) (2 days of remote work per week).
