This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of the growth of the company, working alongside R&D, Product Management, Product Marketing and Sales colleagues.

This is a new strategic role within the company, reporting directly to the CEO.

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for on-time delivery of products with the highest quality possible, for organizing the daily activities of the R&D Department, managing the Software Development Lifecycle and onboarding new engineering team members.

You will need to tackle challenges by thoughtfully leading collaborative efforts based on everyones' strengths adn you will manage the roadmap delivery.

Last but not least, you will be empowered and accountable for a wide range of initiatives, which will allow you to own your career path and shape the future of Glartek and AR.

Tasks

  • Lead all the software development lifecycle activities
  • Ensure ontime delivery of the product roadmap with the highest quality possible
  • Manage resource allocation for product development and project delivery
  • Onboard and daily management of new engineering team members
  • Create and foster a highly effective and collaborative environment
  • Maintain a customerfocused culture and aid delivery of the product to market
  • Defend engineering team from external pressure while creating sense of urgency
  • Influence Roadmap based on company objectives and available resources
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement for internal processes and the products
  • Liaise with Product Management and Sales to provide feedback about product development
  • Foster the implementation and use of the right internal tools, processes and documentation
  • Ensure effective recruiting, professional development, performance management, and retention of the engineering team
  • Be an ambassador and champion of the Glartek culture and work ethic

Requirements:


  • At least 3 years experience leading software development and engineering teams
  • BSc/MSc in Computerscience, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering Telecommunications Engineering, or related field
  • Fully proficient in Portuguese and English
  • Good understanding and a champion of the SCRUM and Agile methodologies
  • Comfortable managing complex projects and workstreams
  • Excellent organizer and planner biases towards quick problem solving
  • Must be effective at coordinating virtual teams and resources
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, to effectively communicate with engineers as well as product managers, product designers and sales people
  • Understanding of the characteristics of startup companies and the need for flexibility of role definitions
  • Naturally positive, customeroriented and resultsoriented leader
  • Willingness to contribute to all areas of the business as required
