    We are currently looking for two new membersof staff for the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) positionand the faculties.

    Decentralized InformationSecurity Officer (m/f/d)
    (full-time / part-time,permanent)

    The Chief Information SecurityOfficer (CISO) is responsible for the information security processat the Technische Universität Braunschweig and manages itsimplementation together with the IT operators and the InformationSecurity Management Team (ISMT). This team includes thedecentralized information security officers (DISB).

    As a DISB, you are responsible for the IT security ofyour own area of responsibility and act as a central point ofcontact for information security issues. You will work closely withthe CISO staff unit and support your department in implementing therelevant regulations.

    Your areas ofresponsibility:

    • You will beinvolved in the development and updating of information securityguidelines, information security concepts, IT emergency conceptsand measures in the event of IT security incidents
    • You provide information and assist in the handling ofpotential information security incidents
    • Youare involved in the procedural design of suitable measures
    • You will develop and maintain an overview ofthe IT systems and information-processing processes used
    • You provide advice and training on ITsecurity issues
    • You act as an advisorymember of the TU Braunschweig IT Security Board

    With a corresponding master's degree, youwill also use established scientific methods to help create anddisseminate advisories and deal with information securityincidents, manage information security processes in theorganizational units and design training courses for users andadministrators.

    Your basics:

    • You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree incomputer science, IT security, information security or a comparableIT-related subject area
    • Ideally, you havecompleted further training to become an information securityofficer You are also welcome to apply if you are willing to acquirethis qualification as part of a trainee program and have knowledgeof BSI basic protection and/or ISO27001, process modeling andthreat intelligence operations
    • You expressyourself well - in writing and orally in German and English (atleast B2 level)
    • You can work well in a team,are able to deal with conflict, have a high level of customer andservice orientation and are able to work under pressure
    • You have analytical thinking skills as well as astructured, responsible and results-oriented way of working

    Our benefits:

    • Pay in line with the collective agreementaccording to EG 11 TV-L (Bachelor's degree) or up to EG 13 TV-L(Master's degree) depending on the tasks assigned and fulfillmentof the personal requirements. If the classification is initiallybelow EG 13 due to the individual personal requirements, furtherqualification is supported and promoted in the form of individuallytailored qualification measures with the aim of transferringhigher-value activities corresponding to the pay groups up to EG13. Payment according to EG 13 TV-L requires the assumption of thefurther areas of responsibility described above upon completion ofa Master's degree
    • a special payment at theend of the year and a supplementary pension as a company pension,comparable to a company pension in the private sector
