The Zuse Institute Berlin (ZIB) is aninterdisciplinary research institute for applied mathematics anddata-intensive high-performance computing (HPC). Researchconcentrates on modelling, simulation and optimization incollaboration with scientific cooperation partners from academiaand industry. The focus here is on the provision of researchinfrastructures for virtualization, HPC, storage, web services,data networks and much more.

Your tasks:

You will work in a highly dynamic environment in researchIT. Technological development and changes are your day-to-daybusiness. You will also be responsible for the operation,maintenance and further development of our data centerinfrastructure. High-performance servers, AI inference systems,scale-out storage architectures, Infiniband, 100 Gbit Ethernet areyour passion They plan, procure, install, operate and monitor ourhigh-end enterprise technology and complement our 20-strong team.

You will carry out fault analyses and repairsand help with the installation of all types of IT systems, bothfront-end and back-end. In addition, they help to further developthe areas of enterprise hardware, operating system integration witha focus on Linux and monitoring, driving our 3 MW data center "tothe limit".

Your qualifications:

• Successfully completed university studies ina STEM subject with professional experience or successfullycompleted vocational training as an IT specialist (f/m/d) forsystem integration with several years of professional experience insystem administration or alternatively many years of professionalexperience in the above-mentioned field of activity,
• good communication skills in German and English.
