The team you'll be part of


As Nokia's growth engine, we create value for communication service providers and enterprise customers by leading the transition to cloud-native software and as-a-service delivery models.

Your home team will be the local Business Applications Technical Communication team consisting of a group of senior technical communication experts.

Our team works in agile mode in intense collaboration within the product R&D teams.

Our source format is DITA XML, and we use the software development SCM tools (Git) for source file versioning and branching.

We deliver HTML documentation embedded in the product.


As part of our team, you will:

  • Cooperate with R&D teams in alignment with software development mode, to plan, design, write and update your documents in compliance with the Nokia tools, processes and quality standards
  • Handle postdelivery defects according to required processes and standards
  • Develop and design user assistance to support and guide the users in completing their goals and to help them use the product(s) efficiently
  • Familiarize yourself and use the Nokia product(s) to understand the users' need for customer documentation in the product context
  • Work with other technical writers, software developers, documentation technology experts, marketing, product verification, and training teams to complete and improve the documents
  • Publish the documents for internal and external customers according to the Nokia process standards

Your skills and experience

  • You have a Degree (BSc/MSc) in the area of English language, communications, computer science, information technology or telecommunications (or an equivalent qualification)
  • You have excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
  • You have a proactive, cando attitude; a selfmotivated personality and innovative spirit; and the ability to cope with tight deadlines
  • You have efficient communication and information gathering skills
  • You are comfortable with using Microsoft Office and commonly used software and Technical Communications tools
  • You have a flexible attitude and the ability to adapt quickly to different projects and tasks

You have a head start if:

  • You have experience in creating technical documentation for customers
  • You have a basic understanding of telecommunication and software industry
  • You are familiar with web technologies and scripting languages
  • You have knowledge of JIRA,Git and Confluence
  • You have knowledge of DITA Open Toolkit production and publishing
