Your role
As a Senior Project Officer, you will:
contribute to the drawing up and updating of projects' work plans, calendar of activities and short-term action plans
concerning the assigned project(s) within the North-South Centre (NSC), including Joint Programmes between the
organise, co-ordinate and implement project activities in accordance with the project ́s work plan and its calendar of
activities;
organise and participate in project meetings and events and undertake follow-up action as required;
monitor progress, evaluating results, identifying appropriate adjustments, if necessary, and ensuring project reporting
to meet contractual obligations;
follow developments and keep abreast of new ideas and concepts in the areas of global citizenship education,
intercultural dialogue, youth, or equality and diversity;
establish and maintain internal and external contacts with relevant commissions, committees, professional associations
and national and international institutions and authorities; manage networks of experts and co-operation with
professional bodies relevant to the specific field assigned;
analyse the information obtained and transform it into new ideas and proposals for policy recommendations,
programmes, actions, procedures, methods, and mechanisms;
supervise and coach team members, including trainees;
co-ordinate, if applicable, the work of a project team in the field;
prepare reports, briefings, speaking notes and other documents related to the project(s) objectives;
prepare and ensure control and follow-up on budgetary and financial issues related to the project activities in accordance
with

liaise with a variety of stakeholders such as project consultants, beneficiary institutions, donors and other partners,
including EU institutions, as regards the implementation of project activities;
liaise and co-ordinate with colleagues in all relevant services of the

contribute to raising the visibility of the project by disseminating information to those concerned and ensuring adequate
information flow within the project stakeholders and relevant partners and experts;
contribute to the design of future related projects and to the development of procedures and tools;
undertake official journeys and/or participate in field missions in connection with activities described above;
report to superiors on the results achieved, on further requirements, risks and opportunities of developments or events;

You must:
hold a higher education degree or qualification equivalent to a master's degree (2nd cycle of the Bologna process
framework of qualifications for the European Higher Education Area) in Education and Training, Sociology, Political
Science or similar field;
have at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the implementation of international and multilateral projects
in Europe
