About this role:


Cognira is seeking a motivated and experienced Product Owner to join our team and help us drive the development of cutting-edge products that meet the needs of our customers and contribute to our company's growth.


As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining and prioritizing the product backlog, working closely with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products.

You will act as the bridge between the business stakeholders and development teams, translating customer and market needs into actionable development plans.

Your role will be critical in driving product strategy, roadmap planning, and ensuring that our products meet or exceed customer expectations.


What you will do:

Product Vision:Collaborate with senior leadership to define and communicate a clear product vision that aligns with the company's strategic goals.

Backlog Management:Own and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that it is well-groomed and aligned with strategic objectives. Make data-driven decisions about what features or enhancements to prioritize.

User Story Definition: Create detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications that guide development teams in building the product.

Stakeholder Communication:Act as the primary point of contact between the development team and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment on product goals and progress.

Release Planning:Plan and coordinate product releases, working closely with development, QA, and other teams to ensure timely and successful product launches.

Market Research:Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive products, and customer feedback to inform product strategy and make necessary adjustments.

Quality Assurance:Work with QA teams to define acceptance criteria and ensure the delivered product meets the defined standards of quality.

Product Testing:Participate in product testing and validation to ensure the product meets user expectations and business requirements.

Continuous Improvement:Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the product development process by identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency.


What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Computer Science, Engineering).
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in Agile software development environments.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience in grocery, promotion planning, vendor funding, and/or retail technology implementation consulting is a plus.
