JUNIOR INVESTMENT CONSULTING ANALYST - UK Pensions Market

  • Work directly and in a daily basis with the UKbased consultants in several UK offices locations.

This person will work directly with both the client consultants in the UK and Portugal and the Wealth specialist teams to ensure clients receive a high quality service from Mercer;

We will count on you to:

  • Supporting consultants in drafting client presentations, meeting agendas/minutes and any other required meeting materials;
  • Supporting consultants in drafting client communications including strategy changes, single asset class manager and structure changes, market updates, Climate change and ESG analysis, etc.;
  • Assisting in day to day client, consultant and regular queries;
  • Supporting consultants in developing strategy reviews and implementing changes to the client's overall investment structure;
  • Supporting consultants in governance requirements management of agreements, SIP's, client engagements, KYC/AML documentation;
  • Supporting consultants with new client takeon process working with and alongside client takeon specialists, business development, Sentinel, operations and RRF;
  • Liaise closely with external third parties (investments managers, actuary, auditors and others);
  • Liaise closely with internal teams (PRT, Strategy, Actuarial and many others);
  • Regular contact with the clients and consultants in the UK and may include regular visits to the UK.

What you need to have:


  • Team Player with excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Selfmotivated with an eagerness to contribute to the business;
  • Taking ownership for work, always ensuring standards and deadlines are met;
  • Fluent English level;
  • Works well under pressure, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks;
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Strong project management with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment.
