Main Responsibilities:


User Support

  • Follow up user requests in 2STRACK/Service Now
  • Assure response time is adequate to the priority of the issues reported (SLA)
  • Interact with the software vendor assuring good the communication and response time
  • Identify product gaps or weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement, as needed
  • Log defects/issues with the system providing the scenario/logs etc.
  • Escalate any critical/outstanding issues to the management

Application Support

  • Perform support and analysis of reported issues, and evaluate alternative business solutions and workarounds to minimize the impacts coordinating with the Production Support team any change or any query that might appear.
  • Communicate with users the incidents in due time
  • Follow up any critical user request ensuring that the impact is reduced to the minimum possible
  • Ensure a smooth follow up of all technical processes (WebSphere, Java, MQ, CFT/SFTP)
  • Manage incidents according to Service Delivery / ITIL Standards, and in coordination with other teams, including production/infrastructure teams.
  • Availability to perform On Call Duties / Weekend interventions on a rotational team basis

Required skills:


  • Ability to work in fast paced global environment
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant Support/IT experience
  • Prior experience understanding functional specifications, process flow diagrams and procedures
  • Good written and spoken English is
    mandatory:
  • UNIX/Linux knowledge is
    necessary:
  • SQL/Oracle knowledge is
    necessary:
  • Prior experience with job schedulers e.g. Autosys 11.3.6, Control-M is a plus
  • Experience with different file transfer protocols e.g. FTP/SFTP, MQ, CFT
  • Understanding of system architectures such as SSO, Firewalls, load balancer etc

Main Tasks:


  • Support the business in their IT needs and understand the business workflows and scenarios
  • Maintaining a proper coverage in their designated shift
  • Provide business, team members and other project/task partnering teams updates on the issue/task/project
  • Documenting and training other team members
  • Shadow other team members and seek to learn to improve day to day coverage of the platforms
  • Sharing knowledge within the team as well documenting the issues/incidents for better follow up
  • Improving day to day tasks by writing scripts and automate tasks that are procedure oriented
  • Contribute towards better postrelease checkouts
  • Understand the underlying issue and the associated patch fix/release and identify systemic issue
  • Availability to work during Holidays / Weekends as per predefined needs and on a rotational basis with the rest of the team

Technical Skills:


  • Basic knowledge and capabilities in scripting languages, network, Windows and Linux environments
    Practice
  • Good level of SQL (Sybase, Oracle or Microsoft) minimum 2 years of experience
