- Lead the APQP process for new product launches and supplier sourcing initiatives
- Coordinate technical assessments and supplier evaluations
- Enhance supplier capabilities to align with BorgWarner's requirements
- Conduct Supplier Quality Training sessions
- Drive performance enhancements at suppliers to meet defined goals
- Manage cross-functional technical issue resolution at supplier locations
- Handle a variety of challenging problems within the role's scope
- Follow established procedures while aiming to identify best practices
- Review work based on technical judgment, overall accuracy, and adequacy at key milestones
- Act as a recognized expert in a specific commodity and/or process
- Provide insights into commodity strategy and lead business process improvements
- Address a broad range of complex challenges within the position
- Work towards predefined objectives
- Evaluate work outcomes based on predetermined milestones
- Execute any other required duties
- Technical diploma in the quality field
- Preference for a Bachelor's Degree
- Prior experience in a similar role is beneficial
- Familiarity with automotive quality tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in PC operations
- Proficiency in English with a high level of fluency in Portuguese

Job Purpose
As part of ensuring smooth launches of new programs, this role involves implementing, supporting, and managing Global Supplier Development strategies and performance. Responsibilities include overseeing the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process for new product introductions, conducting technical reviews, and enhancing supplier capabilities to meet BorgWarner's standards. Additionally, the role entails delivering Supplier Quality Training, fostering performance enhancements at suppliers to achieve set objectives, and coordinating technical issue resolution at supplier sites.
Location
This position is based at the Viana do Castelo plant in Portugal.
