    PagerDuty is looking for an Automation Engineer to join the Enterprise Applications team within the CIO organization.

    This is a brand new team we're building from ground up with a blank slate when it comes to impactful work opportunities.

    As an Automation Engineer at PagerDuty, you will be playing a critical role in driving digital transformation and operational efficiency.

    You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions using RPA technologies and you will also be responsible for identifying the right RPA platforms, designing workflows, and identifying needed integrations of our GTM and Finance systems.

    As the one of the first people on this new greenfield team, we're looking for folks who are self starters, able to work in a world ambiguity and can find solutions to complex problems

    Working closely with the business and technology teams across the organization, you will drive automation and efficiency improvements to ensure high adoption and success.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Implement automation workflows using RPA technologies, including creating bots or scripts.
    Develop strategies to automate business processes in accordance with RPA/Automation best practices.
    Partner with the Enterprise Applications team to integrate automation solutions with existing systems and applications.
    Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting, including performing end to end testing and supporting user acceptance testing.
    Define and implement a repeatable deployment process, while adhering to SOX controls.

    Monitor and maintain deployed bots, including troubleshooting and iterative improvements to support changes in business processes and to drive additional efficiency.

    Create documentation for implemented solutions, including process workflows and technical specifications.
    Stay up to date on changing RPA technologies and industry trends and adapt processes and systems where appropriate.


    Basic Qualifications:
    A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.

    Expertise in at least one RPA tool (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism etc.).Expertise with APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) and web services for integrating RPA solutions with other systems and applications.

    Strong understanding of programming languages such as Python, C#, Java, or VBScript, as RPA solutions often involve scripting and automation code.

    Stay up to date on changing RPA technologies and industry trends.


    Preferred Qualifications:

    Previous experience working in a public company, including experience implementing and maintaining SOX controls for financial reporting and other regulatory/compliance initiatives.

    Experience with Agile project management & development/deployment methodologies.
