Role Purpose

The primary responsibility of the role will be to manage Global VAT Compliance deliverables.

Right attitude towards process governance and controls. Review of Global VAT returns prepared by the Regional Finance Managers and our external advisors.

Key accountabilities

  • Assist Indirect Tax Manager with Business' Tax queries desirable but not essential
  • Coordinate Compliance deliverables within the team based in the FSSC India
  • Carryout monthly/ quarterly/ annual variance analysis.
  • Handle statutory/ internal audit and support VAT audits.
  • Drive process Governance within the VAT team
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
  • Identify and timely escalate potential issues to the Reporting Manager.
  • Support such other projects as may be assigned from time to time.
  • VAT Advisory preferable but not essential
Role specific requirements

  • Between 47 years' work experience handling European and UK VAT Compliance (ie. preparation, review, reconciliation, support with business queries, etc).
  • Prior working experience in VAT Advisory.
  • Must be able to work with a high deal of accuracy.
  • Analytical bend of mind.
  • Good written and verbal communication, as well as presentation skills.
  • Should be able to relate to multicultural European customers.
  • Ability to work under significant pressure and commitment to meet stringent timelines.
  • Must possess the skills to work crossfunctionally, identify best practices and ensure standardisation.
  • Keen to take up extra responsibilities.
  • Mindset of excellent process execution and continuous improvement.
  • Good command of Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Must be inquisitive, open to learning and keen to pursue any opportunity for selfdevelopment.

It would be desirable:

  • Newly or Part qualified Chartered Accountant
  • Knowledge of Data Analytics tools such as PowerBI or Alteryx.
