Job Description:

Your contribution to something big:

The Senior product team manufacturing project manager enables a close and efficient cooperation between AE and XC-CT across all key elements of the product value stream assigned to him - from development, over sourcing and production, to quality and customer satisfaction - with a strong focus on costs and business excellence on benchmark level.

As Senior product team manufacturing project manager you will be working in a self-organized agil team following the project from acquisition until the end of series of the product.

This requires a continuous observation and analysis of the market and competitive situation (e.g. technical feasibility, changes in the legal framework, changes in values), deriving opportunities for new processes.

You will be working out concepts for new products, assessing technical and economic feasibility, coordinating with specialist departments and supporting the decision-making process for development.

Through benchmark you will recognize the development trends from competitors, use this to develop proposals for our own product strategy and examine implementation options together with development and initiate implementation.

In acquisition you will:

Define industrialization location strategy;
Coordinate a multidisciplinary team with the goal to define the best possible industrialization solution from cost, quality and timing perspective;
Analyze customer requirements and checking implementation options from a manufacturing and economic point of view;
Check and evaluate the need for new processes and technologies for possible implementation into Business unit
Cockpit
Technologies (XC/CT) new products;
Estimate and evaluate time and economic risks to project and define the strategy for project industrialization;
Be the key interface for customer hearings regarding manufacturing topics;
Prepare the introduction and coordinate industrialization rampup at the defined production locations.

In industrialization you will:

Advice and support multi production locations;
Initiate and monitor crosssite process improvements. Deriving implementation plans and coordinating with affected departments. Coordinate interfaces, deadlines and services with departments and coordinate implementation;
Report regarding project status (cost, quality and time).

In series care you will:

Align with sales volumes forecast and adjust capacity requirements accordingly;
Benchmark plant performance;
Enable production network information sharing.

in end of series (EoS) you will:

Define and monitor the EoS strategy in close cooperation w/ BU, sales and AA.

Qualifications:

What distinguishes you:

You have completed your master's or diploma degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, production technology, industrial engineering or you have a relevant working experience that fits the position needs

Language knowledge:

You are proficient in English.

One or two from the following will be a plus:
Chinese, German, Portuguese, Spanish.

Professional knowledge:

You already have a strong technical and/or commercial experience in at least one of these areas: Production planning and control, testing, customer project acquisition, project management, cost engineering and benchmarking, product development (HW, SW and mechanics) and controlling.

Experience in more areas is an advantage.
