The Vice-Rectoratefor Communication, Digitalization and Diversity has a vacancy for afull-time Deputy Information Security Officer (f/m/d) with aregular working week of currently 39 hours and 50 minutes to befilled as soon as possible on a permanent basis.

Your main tasks

You will beresponsible for monitoring and analyzing the university'sinformation security status and documenting the results.
You will provide advice and training on informationsecurity issues for employees and students
You will beinvolved in updating the university's information security conceptand in processes for monitoring and ensuring the legally compliantand data protection-compliant use and security design of ITresources.
You will represent the Information SecurityOfficer in participating in risk and emergency management for thearea of information security.
You will be involved inanalyzing and monitoring information security incidents and supportthe Information Security Officer in internal (management level) andexternal (authorities) communication.
You will beinvolved in business processes with an impact on informationprocessing and in the introduction of new IT systems and ITapplications.

Yourprofessional profile

Required are

• Completed scientific universitydegree (university diploma or master's degree) in a subjectqualifying for this position, preferably in the field ofinformation security, computer science, engineering or with a legalfocus or a relevant university degree (FH diploma or bachelor'sdegree), preferably in one of the above subjects, in conjunctionwith several years of relevant professional experience or relevanttraining in conjunction with further training in the field of ITsecurity and many years of relevant professional experience
• Very good knowledge of the BSI IT baselineprotection compendium
• Very good knowledge ofthe ISO/IEC 27000 series
• Knowledge in thefield of information security and the willingness to continuouslydeepen this knowledge

Desirableare

• Experience in the applicationof relevant standards of the Federal Office for InformationSecurity, in particular the IT Basic Compendium
• Good knowledge of the IT basic protection profile foruniversities of the ZKI
• Experience withtools for documenting and managing information security
• Certification in the area of information security
• Knowledge of the design and operation of ITinfrastructures and security mechanisms at network, operatingsystem and application level
• Experience withuniversity structures, university organizational procedures andadministrative processes
