    Purpose of Position

    The DevOps Engineer is responsible for building, deploying and maintaining the platform services that run NetJets business applications.

    Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Work with development teams to design and deliver infrastructure and platform solutions that meet operational targets for high availability, DR, logging, and monitoring;
  • Install, patching, upgrading, supporting, managing capacity, and administration of platform services (e.g. SQL and IIS Servers);
  • Assist the adoption and implementation of DevOps and automation for infrastructure services and application deployments;
  • Plan, Design and Implement solutions for both automation and systems integration of business applications, internal IT applications and internal IT processes;
  • Develop, document and communicate related application and database systems policies, procedures and guidelines as defined by management;
  • Provide 24x7x365 assistance as necessary in support of NetJets operations as part of the team on-call support;
  • Implement proactive monitoring and event management for applications and platform services.

  • 4+ years of experience in Software and/or Infrastructure roles, with at least 1 year in a DevOps role
  • Previous administration in middleware technologies such as IIS, Tomcat, NodeJS.
  • Familiar with the fundamentals of web application and relational database architectures
  • Understanding of Agile and other development processes and methodologies
  • Visual Studio, Microsoft .Net Framework and .Net Core
  • Windows system administration experience required
  • Shell, Python, Go, PowerShell, Auto-IT, Groovy or other programming language experience is a must
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (AWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins)
  • In-depth knowledge working with and managing Git (Bitbucket, Github, CodeCommit)
  • Experience administering and utilizing APM tools (DataDog / Dynatrace/New Relic/AppDynamics) a plus
  • Experience using log management tools (Splunk/ELK) for troubleshooting desirable
  • Previous Experience with Configuration Management tools (Ansible, Chef, HashiCorp Packer) desirable
  • Knowledge/experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS is desirable
  • AWS / Cloud experience highly desirable.
