    About the Company

    DataHow AG is a spin-off company of ETH Zurich founded in 2017. Our mission is to bring Industry 4.0 to the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biopharmaceutical sectors. We develop and commercialise predictive software that integrates sensor signals, process models, machine learning, reinforcement learning, historical data, and process engineering knowledge. Our technology accelerates process development, transfer, manufacturing, and risk & quality management—already trusted by 8 of the world's 20 largest pharma companies.

    About the Role

    • Customer centric development : Design and build backend systems that prioritise customer success and great user experiences.
    • Cross-functional collaboration : Work closely with Product, Frontend, and Machine Learning teams to design integrated solutions. Architect and implement well documented RESTful APIs that enable seamless communication and build production-ready backend services.
    • Adaptive problem-solving : Embrace experimentation and rapid iteration, adjusting technical approaches based on real world results and evolving customer requirements.
    • Domain modeling : Apply clean architecture and domain driven design principles to model and encapsulate business logic effectively, fostering a robust and adaptable software ecosystem.
    • Kubernetes integration : Collaborate with our infrastructure engineers to deploy, manage, and scale backend services using Kubernetes, ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and efficient resource utilization within a cloud-native environment.
    • Code reviews : Take part in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring best practices are followed.
    • Security : Contribute to the security of our platform by implementing secure coding practices and participating in security reviews.

    Key Technologies

    • Languages: Go, Rust, Python, Typescript
    • Infrastructure: Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure
    • Databases: SQL, MongoDB, Redis
    • Architecture: RESTful APIs, Microservices, Domain Driven Design

    Required qualifications

    • A strong university degree (minimum BSc or equivalent) in computer science or software engineering.
    • 3-5 Years of experience in backend or full stack development
    • Experience with a modern programming language, preferably at least one of Go, Rust, Python, Typescript
    • Strong English communication skills, as well as strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
