Job Description:

We are looking for a Development Manager for Portugal, for the Premium, Midscale & Economy Division.


WHAT DOES THE ROLE CONSIST OF?

The main missions are:

  • Monitor the economic, geopolitical, & Hospitality SP market in order to assist VP Development in defining, adapting & implementing AccorHotels development strategy in SP.
  • Assist VP Development in create and maintain relationships with investors, developers, owners and consultants in SP market.
  • Assist VP Development Identify hotel opportunities, both conversions & new developments, and stakeholders.
  • Lead &/or support the review of hotel opportunities
  • Produce company & brand presentations and prepare offers & proposals.
  • Negotiate &/or support the negotiation of HMA, Franchise, JV agreements.
  • Lead &/or support opportunities to closing, coordinating the work of internal & external stakeholders.
  • Represent the Company during local and international seminars, exhibitions, or events.
  • Assist VP Development in animating the network of current owners & partners.
  • Assist VP Development in developing close and regular relations with other departments, including ops, finance, legal, IT & technical.
  • Support Luxury & Lifestyle development activity in SP, providing leads and onground support if & when needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum 3-5 years of working experience

  • Typical previous positions include:
  • Consultancy, ideally at hotels but alternatively at real estate in general.
  • Hotel development positions with local operators or junior positions at international operators.
  • Executive hotel positions of international operators.
  • Funds specialized in hotel investment.
  • Asset management firms
  • White label brands
  • Understanding of real estate valuations, hotel investment & financing.
  • Understanding of management and franchise contracts, JV structures and lease contracts.
  • Analytical mindset, attention to detail and problem solving oriented.
  • Brand knowledge within Accor & major competitors.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office pack
  • Communication & presentation skills.
  • Fluent in English & Portuguese. French and other languages are a plus.
  • Capacity to handle multiple projects on short timetables & manage support resources effectively
  • Very good business understanding
  • Excellent relationship and communication skills
  • Very dynamic profile

  • Strong flexibility and agility skills to work in a very fast changing environment
