The Artificial Intelligence division, part of the Center for Analytical Intelligence (CIA), is the organizational unit responsible for structuring and implementing Artificial Intelligence Initiatives at CGD (Caixa Geral de Depósitos). It is also responsible for developing and leveraging the implementation of new cognitive products and solutions that enable the capture of value from data.

Role:
The role involves structuring and implementing Artificial Intelligence Initiatives at CGD and developing and promoting the implementation of new cognitive products and solutions that enable the capture of value from data.

Develop, implement, and optimize Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision models to address business challenges.

Build RAG solutions powered by GenAI.

Document and present results to stakeholders and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Development and Evaluation of Artificial Intelligence Solutions related to Natural Language Processing (NLP) and/or Computer Vision (CV) and/or deep neural networks (Deep Learning);
• Modelling and operationalization of models in Google Cloud Platform / Vertex AI.
• Apply Generative AI solutions (LangChain) to address business challenges.

Main requirements

Desired Profile:

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• Over 2 years of experience in roles related to modelling and operationalization of Artificial Intelligence models (Natural Language Processing and/or Computer Vision).

Technical Knowledge and Competencies:

• Advanced Python programming
• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence frameworks (PyTorch, Tensorflow, HuggingFace)
• Knowledge of data structures, data modelling, and software architecture

Relevant Personal Characteristics:

• Strong analytical skills, critical thinking, logical/structured reasoning, and the ability to solve moderately complex problems.
• Ability to generate new ideas and implement creative solutions.
• Ability to work autonomously, flexibly, and dynamically.
• Good interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills in multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluency in both spoken and written Portuguese and English.
• Ability to translate detailed technical concepts into meaningful metrics for top management.

Nice to have

• Experience with GCP/Vertex AI.
• Knowledge of Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks (Langchain, Llamaindex)
• Experience finetuning LLMs models (QLoRA, ...)
