TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies.

They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.


Responsibilities:


  • Act as a 'Change Agent' in the introduction of lean tools & principles in manufacturing and drive/sustain improvements by working directly supporting and mentoring Operations and Engineering at all levels.
  • Owner of Plant VSM to drive transformation initiatives across the different VS.
  • Champion creating continuous flow in multiple process environment.
  • Critically review batch production processes and identify opportunities to reduce lead time, reduce inventory, drive efficiency improvement and improve service levels, through the implementation of lean initiatives.
  • Coach individual project teams to enable them to succeed in continuous improvement deployment.
  • Monitor and critically review progress of value streams against plans and achievement of continuous improvement against key performance operations assessment criteria. Responsible for identifying and highlighting further opportunities in delivering improvements in process performance along with identifying opportunities in methodologies that sustain gains.
  • The facilitator responsible for assisting the project manager in the successful planning, scheduling and completion of continuous improvement projects. Review detailed project plans to monitor and track progress.
  • Develop skill levels of site personnel to implement and sustain Continuous Improvement. Provide training, coaching and mentoring in lean principles to both direct and indirect including crossfunctional personnel.

Requirements:


  • University degree in Industrial engineering, production engineering, mechatronics, among others included in the industry.
  • Minimum experience 5 years in the Automotive Industry.
  • Lean Manufacturing Tools knowledge.
  • Computer skills from the user's perspective (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of English.
  • Has excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Is motivational for the others.
